Q. What's the difference between Traditional Loose Covers, Designer Covers and Classic covers?

A. Traditional Loose Covers and Designer furniture Covers are made from top quality upholstery weight fabric, and at extremely competitive prices, certainly less than half the cost of a new suite. Many fabrics have the added advantage that they are machine washable. There are a choice of valance styles available.

Plumbs furniture covers can be made in a modern loose designer fit style, or in a traditional closely fitting make-up. The range includes cotton and chenille fabrics from designer names such as Villa Nova, Crowson, Sandown & Bourne, Sanderson and Panaz, amongst others.

Classic made-to-measure furniture covers are traditionally made in 100% polyester and come in a wide choice of affordable designs. They are very easy to remove, wash and re-fit. A choice of valance styles and feature piping are available to complete the look. Do not be put off by polyester. When you feel these fabrics you will realise why over half of all orders are for Classic covers.

Q. What styles of furniture do you cover?

A. Virtually any style of furniture can be covered, from suites and chairs, to 2 or 3 seater settees. We make covers for almost all styles of furniture on the market including many styles from Parker Knoll, Multi York, M+S, Sofa Workshop, G Plan, DFS, Christie Tyler + 1,000's of others.

When you place your order for Plumbs soft furnishings, the Home Consultant will carefully photograph and measure every detail of your furniture. We then produce a cover to fit your furniture beautifully. No two covers are the same. Your home consultant will return to fit your covers so you can order in complete confidence.

Q. Can you re-upholster my furniture?

Q. Do you cover leather suites?

A. We now have a number of cover solutions for you to choose from, including our NEW Re-upholstery service. Ask your Home Consultant for full details.

Q. If I request a visit from a Home Consultant, am I obliged to order?

A. No. The Home Consultant offers a free advisory service and will not put you under pressure to buy. The Home Consultant will show you large samples of all the fabrics available and provide a free no-obligation quotation for any fabric that you choose.

Q. When will the Home Consultant visit?

A. Your Home Consultant will telephone first to arrange a visit at your convenience.

Q. How do I request a free visit from my Home Consultant?

A. You can do this now, simply click I'd like a no-obligation visit. We will bring you over 500 attractive designs and colourways to see. This service is available to over 98% of UK households, including Northern Ireland, Jersey, Isle of Man & the Isle of Wight.

Q. What if I live outside the U.K.?

Q. Are they washable?

A. Most of Plumbs covers are machine washable. Exceptions to this will be clearly identified by your Home Consultant.

Q. Is it Nylon ?

A. No. Plumbs Classic Decra covers are made in Qualitex 100% Polyester, which is both machine washable and fire retardent.

Q. Are they pet proof?

A. Although our sofa and chair covers are extremely hard-wearing, we cannot guarantee that they will be resistant to plucking from your cat or dog.

Q. What about delivery times?

A. Normally your consultant will return to fit your furniture covers within six to eight weeks of placing the order.

Q. Hard wearing?

A. All Plumbs furniture covers are extremely hard wearing. Decra fabrics are guaranteed not to shrink, fade or lose their colour when washed in a machine. Many cotton fabrics can be machine washed and a number of designs are dry clean only. Always refer to the wash care label.

Q. Guarantee?

A. We guarantee your complete satisfaction.

Q. Can you tumble dry?

A. You should not tumble dry your covers.
